Submissions to the HLS News & Updates

The Florida Bar Health Law Section (“HLS”) Update is a bi-monthly electronic publication emphasizing various, emerging topics in health law, including, but not limited to, compliance, fraud and abuse, facility and professional licensure, life sciences, privacy and security, public health, transactions, and payor issues.  The articles are short entries (typically a maximum of three to five paragraphs) that include an overview and brief explanation of an important topic in health law. We are currently soliciting authors for the remaining 2024 and upcoming 2025 Section updates.

If you are interested in writing for the HLS Updates, please send an email to john.hood@akerman.com and specify which area you would like to cover.  If you do not specify a practice area, we will select one for you.  Please note, we will try and place you in the practice area you selected; however, if demand is high for certain areas, we may have to assign people to practice areas they did not choose.  Once we have assembled our team of writers, we will e-mail you with writing guidelines and your assigned coverage area.

A copy of the HLS Publishing Guidelines can be found here: Florida Bar Health Law Section Publishing Guidelines

We look forward to working with you and having another successful year of HLS Updates!

Best,

John C. Hood, Esq.
